Ok guys....
sorry it took me forever
but here goes.....
work.work.work.drink.work.
thats basically my life at this point.
im ok with it.
right now im working on
1. turning paul into a japanese scroll.
2. large scale wheatpastes.
3. helping folks.
4. and maintainin.
the jewlery show in the bakalar was pretty tight.
i was rather drawn to the grotesque usage of the body and jewlery
like the tattoo with no ink to provide a tooth for gold leafing.
the idea of sacrafice and pain for beauty is quite interesting.
(especially having sat for several hours at a time for a tat, trust me...it hurts.)
the interactiveness of the show was fun, i like being able to touch and be involved with art.
some of the pieces however seemed a little less interesting and successful than others,
as if providing filler for the really sick ones. but hey...i prolly couldnt hang with even the "boring ones" in jewelry.
On a side note
for my sub/overly consious writing ongoing assignment
i am doing a journal of writings to a girl who tragicly passed
at a bus stop i happen to catch the bus at.
her friends and family have created this amazing shrine
dedicated to her.
her presence there is incredible
so much so, that i feel like i could have been good friends with her.
so instead of standing like a zombie waiting for the bus
i am writing to this girl, with intentsions of eventally burying my notes next to the site.
other than that....
the sox are playin.....
smell ya.
